90% of all the data in the world has been created in the last two years. Moreover, 2.5 quintillion bytes of data are created every day.

Are you a Business Intelligence Specialist, BI Developer, BI Manager, Data Analyst or DWH specialist in the healthcare sector? Our goal is to help organizations which are challenged by the ever-growing volume of data and want to move away from traditional data warehouse solutions. The same goes for outdated Business Intelligence approaches. Nowadays, Advanced Analytics and Data Science techniques are the answer. We can train you to activate the data within your organization.

Data Science and A.I. are already helping people in consumer health – apps encourage healthier behavior to individuals, A.I can detect diseases from images, and pattern recognition can identify patients which are at risk. In our training, we will take you on a tour through the world of Data Science and A.I. for the healthcare specialists. We will go over how data and health care has influenced the past, the present and how it will shape our future. You can expect to learn the essentials of data analysis as well as use real-life cases to see how they apply in the real world. Some of the real-world use cases we will discuss during the training include: breast cancer prediction, cervix classification, genome sequencing and why Web scraping is a very useful technique to retrieve online content.

Duration of the training is one day and takes place in one of our offices (Amsterdam, Groningen) or at your location. The whole package costs a total of €799 per person and is coordinated for groups of 3-10 people.


The day will kick-off with an overview of BI vs. Data Science, followed by exploration of the different tools on the market and their application. In the afternoon, there will be hands-on sessions to get familiar with Data Science tools and techniques specifically for healthcare data, after which we will build our own models. Scenarios include predicting patient no-show and predicting heart disease risk.


No background in Data Science is needed to be able to follow the lectures.


For people with no programming experience we will use the interactive visual interface Data Science tool called Dataiku. For people with programming experience we utilize hands-on sessions using R or Python.
